Meet Dan Helmer for Delegate

Abigail Spanberger-Dan Helmer

Rep-Elect Abigail Spanberger points to Dan Helmer’s while he canvassing for Rep-Elect Luria

Dan Helmer is running for Virginia House of Delegates District 40 in 2019.  If you don’t know Dan – a Rhodes Scholar, Veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, a partner in a local small business, husband and father– meet him this Saturday, November 17th at a FREE Campaign kickoff starting at 11:30 a.m. in nearby Clifton (map).

Some of the many Democrats that Dan helped—including Congresswoman-elect Abigail Spanberger—will be there.  Scroll through EVENTS for more information on Dan’s event and visit Helmer for Delegate to learn more.

Dan wants a livable community for his family, friends and voters.  A livable community is safe. Safe from racism and opioids and gun violence. A livable community has good schools that promote accomplishment and growth and transportation options that make it commutable, walkable, and bike-able.

Sully District is fortunate to be represented by Virginia Delegates Karrie Delaney (HD-67), David Bulova (HD-37); Ken Plum (HD-36) and Jennifer Boysko (HD-86). But Sully’s 40th District is represented by a Republican who led his caucus to damage the entire Metro area by chopping hundreds of millions of dollars of transportation funding for NOVA out of the Virginia budget.

Our goal in 2019 is to add Dan Helmer to the lineup of  world class leaders we have in Sully District.  This year Sully District voters helped take back the US House of Representatives by voting overwhelmingly for Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-elect-VA10). In 2019 Sully Dems can help take back the Virginia House of Delegates.
