Volunteer Opportunities

All Hands On Deck!

The campaign is in full swing and we need all the extra hands we can get! This is your time! Here are some things you can do that will help win this election:

1. Voter Protection: Help Voters with Ballot Curing

I’m excited to announce we’re running ballot cure phone banks this weekend and every day going forward. Make calls to voters across Virginia whose mail-in ballot may have been rejected and needs to be cured for their vote to count. Time is running out for these likely Democratic voters to fix their ballots! These are our voters and we need to make sure their voices are heard! Please sign up to help. It’s not hard, and we provide training.

2. Greet Early Voters and Offer Sample Democratic Ballots – Beginning Oct. 17

Early voting starts Oct. 17 at Centreville Regional Library and Sully Governmental Center. Can you contribute a couple of hours to help? Make a memory you’ll treasure? Of course you can! We’ll love you for it! All you have to do is smile at the voters and offer them a sample Democratic ballot. So easy, even a caveman can do it!

3. Centreville Day Parade, Sat. Oct. 19 – March with Us!

We want more boots on the ground for the annual Centreville parade! Wear a pink hat, a blue shirt, or dress in suffragette white and march with your fellow Sully Dems and our elected officials. Then, volunteer at our children’s booth and the Sully Dems/Candidates booths to greet voters. Bring your kids for the fun! Bring your dogs and cats for the Blessing of the Pets! Bring your appetite for the food trucks!

The festival is located in Historic Centreville Park (5714 Mt. Gilead Road), in the heart of the Centreville Historic District. Suggest parking on Pickwick Road, Newhall Court, Wharton Lane, or Shelburne Street, then walking the relatively short distance to the parade start at the eastern end of Wharton Road, east of Centreville Historic District. The parade begins at the very end of Wharton Lane and marches down that road past the Centreville Day stage on Mount Gilead Road and ends on Braddock Road. The Festival is at Historic Centreville Park (5714 Mt Gilead Road) in the heart of the Centreville Historic District.

4. Oakmont Farmers Market on Wednesday Mornings 8am-12pm

5. Host an Event or Canvas Launch
